What better place than the workplace to share ideas and gain new insights to live a healthier life? Murphy’s Pharmacies Health Education Team has a wide variety of programs for the workplace that make it easy to bring refreshing healthy concepts to employees…and best of all – we come to you!

Heart health clinics consist of blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol measurements with a Murphy's nurse. Patients are provided with target measures and educational material. Clinics are completed in our pharmacies several time per year - talk to your community pharmacist for details. Appointments can also be made by calling 902-892-1210.

A Murphy’s pharmacist can assess your medications to ensure that you are taking the right medication, at the right dose, at the right time. We will also answer any questions you may have about your medications.

Bone density screening can help identify your risk for osteoporosis. This heel ultrasound test is quick and painless. Your test results are available immediately in an easy to understand report and are compared to normal values for your race, age, and sex.

Our Team of Registered Dietitians can provide meal plans and dietary advice for a range of individuals including those with diabetes, heart disease, Celiac disease, lactose intolerance, and digestive disorders such as Crohn’s Disease.

First time Mom? We know you want the best for your baby’s health. Get answers to your many questions from Murphy’s health professionals. Our pre-natal education seminar offers:
- A complete overview of the most common health conditions experienced during pregnancy
- Advice from a Murphy’s pharmacist on safe treatment options and appropriate use of medication while pregnant and while breast feeding
- Comprehensive advice from registered dietitians on pre-natal and post-natal nutrition

At Murphy’s Pharmacies we are equipped with technology that allows our Nurse to take your blood using a simple finger prick and will receive your test results immediately.

Our Health Assessments are designed to assess all aspects of an individual's current health practices and determine a person's true "health age". The Health Assessment will then identify areas for improvement and measure progress that can be shared with the individual's physician.
