The Basilica Recreation Centre was recently purchased by Ray and Carolyn Murphy. Now known as Murphy's Community Centre, it still aims to increase and improve the recreational and social opportunities for people living in both Charlottetown and the rest of Prince Edward Island.

Though the name has changed, Murphy's Community Centre's will be keeping its non-profit status and its open-door policy remains the same. Murphy's Community Centre welcomes the opportunity for people to drop by and discuss their needs with staff at any time and participate in any of its ongoing programs.
