Murphy’s Pharmacies registered dietitians, can provide meal plans and dietary advice for a range of individuals including those with diabetes, heart disease and digestive disorders such as Crohn’s Disease, Celiac disease and lactose intolerance.

Health seminars on a variety of topics are offered on a regular basis at Murphy’s Health Education Centre. Murphy’s Pharmacies also bring in speakers from various locations in North America to talk to the public about various health issues.

Heart health clinics consist of blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol measurements. Patients are provided with target measures and educational material.

‘Island Health is a portion of the television show Eastlink Magazine aired weekly on EastLink Channel 10. Island Health airs at 7:10pm on Monday nights and then repeats at random times throughout the week.

Murphy’s pharmacists can assess your medications to ensure that you are taking the right medication, at the right dose, at the right time, as well as answer any questions you may have.

This program is offered by Murphy’s Pharmacies in conjunction with the Charlottetown City Police Department. Elderly residents of the community are provided with a pill bottle that contains a detailed list of their current medications and health conditions to assist emergency personnel in case of emergency.

This monitor takes your blood pressure over a 24 hour period. A detailed report is sent to your physician for evaluation.

Bone density screening can help identify your risk for osteoporosis. This heel ultrasound test is quick and painless. Your test results are available immediately in an easy to understand report and are compared to normal values for your race, age, and sex.

Murphy’s certified foot care nurse is available Monday through Friday by appointment and in-home consultations.

This assessment consists of a fasting glucose and blood pressure measurement, complete cholesterol breakdown and heart health assessment. Individuals also receive an estimate of their true “heart age” and recommendations for improvement.

We offer flu vaccination clinics at our pharmacy locations, Murphy's Health Education Centre and on-site at workplaces.

Our Health Assessments are designed to assess all aspects of an individual's current health practices and determine a person's true "health age".  The Health Assessment will then identify areas for improvement and measure progress that can be shared with the individual's physician.
